No, our core funding is equity-free. Startupwalah provides grants and funding support without requiring equity in return. This allows founders to maintain full ownership and control of their companies. However, for startups seeking larger investments, we do connect them with our network of venture capital firms and angel investors, which may involve equity arrangements negotiated separately from our program.

Our standard acceleration program runs for 3 months. During this intensive period, startups receive mentorship, funding, and resources to rapidly grow their business. The program culminates in a Demo Day where startups pitch to investors and partners. After the formal program ends, startups join our alumni network and continue to receive support and resources as they scale.

We primarily focus on early-stage startups, from idea stage to those with an MVP (Minimum Viable Product). Ideal candidates have a strong founding team, innovative concept, and are ready to validate their business model or scale an existing product. We occasionally accept more advanced startups if they're entering a new market or pivoting their business model.

Funding varies based on the startup's stage, needs, and potential. Our initial equity-free grants typically range from $10,000 to $50,000. Additionally, startups gain access to our investor network during Demo Day, where they can potentially secure much larger investments. Many of our alumni have raised $100,000 to $1 million+ in follow-on funding through our connections.

While we strongly encourage founders to be physically present for key program elements like workshops and Demo Day, we offer a hybrid model with both in-person and remote components. International founders who cannot relocate can still participate virtually in most aspects of the program. However, at least one team member should be able to attend critical in-person events during the 3-month period.

We primarily focus on technology-enabled startups across various sectors including AI, SaaS, Web3, Fintech, HealthTech, EdTech, E-commerce, and other innovative tech startups. While we're industry-agnostic within the tech space, we look for scalable solutions that can make a significant impact in their respective markets and have potential for rapid growth.

After Demo Day, startups become part of our alumni network with ongoing support. This includes continued mentorship, introductions to investors interested after your pitch, access to our co-working space, invitation to exclusive alumni events, and opportunities to connect with future cohorts. We maintain an active relationship with our alumni, helping them navigate challenges as they scale and grow.
